Isn’t all life about balance? And who couldn’t use a little more balance in their life anyway?
Here’s the way you put them on your skin:
Place 1-3 drops in the palm of your non-dominant hand. With the ring finger of your other hand, stir the oils clockwise 3 times to activate the molecules. Then proceed to dab the areas of your body you wish to place the oils, i.e. wrists, neck, shoulders, knees, back, you get the point!
Internally
Another common way you use the oils is ingestion. Some people might be a bit hesitant at first, but think about it, you’ve been ingesting essential oils as food flavorings all of your life! The only difference is that the food industry uses commercial grade oils as flavorings, NOT therapeutic grade oils. Imagine how much better off we’d all be if the food industry DID use therapeutic grade oils?
Here’s how to make a capsule of essential oils:
Get a “0” or “00” size empty gelatin capsule (available at health food stores.) Open it up. With the larger half, fill it ½ full with organic olive oil and the rest with your essential oil of choice. Anywhere from 1-8 drops of essential oil is recommended. But if it’s your first time, stick with 1-2 drops and move up from there. Close the capsule and swallow it with rice, soy or regular milk.
You can also place a few drops of the essential oil on a piece of bread and eat the bread. Or mixed the essential oils with blue agave or honey and swallow it. I prefer the capsule method because I don’t have to taste the essential oils, just swallow them. Since the essential oils are so potent, they can have a strong taste.
On a more serious note, essential oils have intelligence, and this is not crazy talk, I promise! Essential oils know what to do once they enter your body via inhalation, topically or by ingestion. Essential oils create the opportunity for your body to heal itself. The actual process is very complicated unless you are a chemistry wiz…which I am not! However, there is a great book available called “The Chemistry of Essential Oils Made Simple” by David Stewart, PhD. This book will educate you on the intricacies of essential oils and their healing powers. I highly recommend it for your personal library.
